Is your home ready for a Level 2 charger?

Most homes can add one. What changes is how much work it takes. Tap what applies and see what we’ll plan for at your free estimate. Nothing you tap is saved or sent.

Nothing tapped? Many homes need only a dedicated 240-volt circuit and the charger.

From your panel to your parking spot

A Level 2 charger draws a lot of power for hours at a time, so it gets its own circuit. Here is what that circuit is, step by step.

Illustration: the dedicated circuit from the electrical panel to a wall chargerA new two-pole breaker in the panel feeds wire in conduit along the garage wall to the charger. The charger is set to match the circuit, and the city inspects the work.12345

Not every charger needs a panel upgrade. If your panel is short on capacity, options can include a smaller charger setting, a load-management device, or a panel upgrade. We explain each option at the estimate.

Level 1, Level 2 or commercial?

Charging speed depends on the charger, the circuit and what your car can accept. For most homes, Level 2 is the practical answer.

    120 volts · standard outlet

    Level 1

Plugs into a regular outlet and charges slowly. Fine for short daily drives. Usually no new circuit, but the outlet should be in good shape and on a circuit that can handle hours of charging.

    240 volts · dedicated circuit

    Level 2

The usual choice for home charging: much faster, typically overnight. Needs its own 240-volt circuit and breaker, sized for the charger.

Multi-port Level 2 and DC fast

    Commercial

For businesses, apartments and parking. Multiple chargers, power sharing and, for DC fast charging, far more electrical capacity.

      EV charger questions

Straight answers to what drivers ask us most. Still wondering about something? Call (844) 425-1889.

How long does an EV charger installation take?

Most straightforward home installations are done in one day. A panel upgrade or a long wire run adds time, mostly for permits and scheduling. We give you a clear timeline at your free on-site estimate.

Do I need a permit for an EV charger?

In most Southern California cities, yes. A permit and inspection put the work on record. We pull the permit and schedule the inspection as part of the job.

Will I need a panel upgrade?

Not always. It depends on your panel’s capacity, its open spaces and what it already powers. Options can include a smaller charger setting, a load-management device, or a panel upgrade. We tell you which applies after looking at your panel.

What’s the difference between Level 1 and Level 2?

Level 1 uses a standard 120-volt outlet and charges slowly. Level 2 uses a dedicated 240-volt circuit and charges much faster, which is why it’s the usual choice for home charging.

How much does EV charger installation cost?

It depends on your panel’s capacity, the distance from the panel to the charger, the charger itself, indoor or outdoor mounting, and whether panel work is needed. We don’t quote over the phone; call (844) 425-1889 for a free on-site estimate and you get a clear quote before any work starts. Financing options available for qualifying projects.

      Which chargers do you install?

Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint, JuiceBox, Emporia, Grizzl-E and other major brands, plus commercial charging systems. If you haven’t bought one yet, ask us first and we’ll help you match it to your car and your panel.

Can you install chargers for two EVs?

Yes. Depending on your panel, two chargers can share one circuit’s power or each get their own. We check your capacity and recommend the setup.

Do you install chargers for apartments, condos and businesses?

Yes: multi-port charging, load management, ADA-compliant layouts, and payment or monitoring systems for offices, retail, apartment and condo communities and parking facilities.

Can you fix a charger that stopped working?

Yes. We troubleshoot and repair existing chargers and the circuits that feed them, no matter who installed them.

Are there rebates for EV chargers?

Depending on your utility, city and property, rebates or incentives may be available. Programs and eligibility change, so check the current rules with your utility before you buy.

      What warranty do I get?

Our work comes with a 2-year labor warranty, and the equipment carries the manufacturer’s warranty of up to 10 years.
